The radio stations in Grand Theft Auto III (GTA 3) represent a significant expansion from those in its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto 2. Just like in GTA 2, radio stations can only be heard while inside a vehicle. They offer a mix of music, DJ chatter, and spoof advertisements. GTA III showcases various music genres and introduces a talk radio station and a custom radio station for the first time in the series. In law enforcement vehicles, commercial radio is replaced with a police radio.
A Diverse Soundtrack
Many of the songs in the game were composed specifically for the soundtrack, while others are contributions from real artists. Craig Conner and Stuart Ross created the original tracks, featuring performances by other musicians.
GTA 3 includes nine in-game radio stations and one custom station that can be modified by the player. Below are the details of each station along with the original song authors.
