Unlocking the Double-Action Revolver in GTA Online involves completing a treasure hunt that spans across various locations in Los Santos and Blaine County. Follow this guide to find all 20 locations and successfully unlock the weapon.

Mission Overview

The treasure hunt begins with an email from Van der Linde. The email contains a photo of a clue location. You need to visit the location, find the clue, and investigate it. There are three clues in total, and after finding all of them, the final treasure location will be marked on the map.

Key Characters

  • Van der Linde: The sender of the email that starts the treasure hunt.
  • Bounty Targets: Various NPCs scattered across Los Santos and Blaine County.

Objective

The goal is to locate and investigate all three clues and then find the final treasure chest containing the Double-Action Revolver. Completing the headshot challenge with the revolver will earn you additional rewards.

Treasure Hunt Locations

  1. Del Perro Pier: The clue is stickied to one of the pillars supporting the pier on the west coast of Los Santos.
  2. Cassidy Creek #1: This clue can be found on the top of the hill looking over a bridge at the Cassidy Creek, located in the Raton Canyon area.
  3. Cassidy Creek #2: Another possible location of the clue at the Cassidy Creek bridge is the tree at the river bank downhill.
  4. Vinewood Hills: Find the Galileo Observatory in Vinewood Hills. The clue is stickied to a Baytree Canyon poster to the north of the observatory.
  5. Pacific Bluffs: The clue is stickied to one of the tombstones on the Pacific Bluffs graveyard located just above the Del Perro Pier.
  6. Tongva Hills: Search for vineyards at the Tongva Hills area. The clue should be right under the bridge.
  7. San Chianski Mountain Range: This clue is located on the far eastern coast of the map. There you will find a small fisherman’s jetty.
  8. Hill Valley Church: In the north of Los Santos County, at the Great Chaparral area, you will find a graveyard of the Hill Valley Church. The clue is stickied to one of the tombstones.
  9. Tataviam Mountains: Travel to the beach south of Palmer-Taylor Power Station on the eastern part of the map. You should see the clue on one of the rocks on the seashore.
  10. Alamo Sea Marina: Travel to Alamo Sea and locate a broken boat at the Sandy Shores. The clue is chilling on one of the rocks nearby.
  11. Grand Senora Desert: Go to Grand Senora Desert and locate the airfield at the Sandy Shores. The clue is stickied to the doors of the hangar.
  12. Catfish View: For this clue, you’ll need to fly over on the very top of the hill at the Catfish View area, which is a part of the San Chiamski Mountain Range.
  13. Los Santos Golf Club: You will find this clue on the bridge located on one of the fields of the Lost Santos Golf Club.
  14. Mount Chiliad: The clue is located on the visitor board at the top of Mount Chiliad.
  15. Pacific Ocean: The clue is on a rock on an island southeast of the mainland.
  16. Paleto Bay: The clue is on one of the remaining posts of the broken bridge in Paleto Bay.
  17. Raton Canyon: The clue is on a rock near the edge of Raton Canyon.
  18. San Chianski Mountain Range Jetty: The clue is on a post near the jetty in San Chianski Mountain Range.
  19. Sandy Shores Peninsula: The clue is on some rocks near a red boat in Sandy Shores.
  20. Beek Me Up Store: The clue is on top of the deck near the Beam Me Up store in Sandy Shores.

Weapon Details

The Double-Action Revolver is a powerful weapon with a unique headshot challenge. Completing the challenge by getting 50 headshots will earn you a reward of GTA$ 250,000 and an exclusive variant of the weapon in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Tips for Completing the Challenge

  • Stay Focused: Keep track of your targets and their locations.
  • Use the Map: The map will help you locate the yellow circles indicating the target’s area.
  • Listen for Clues: A faint ringing sound indicates you are close to the target.
