The Final Job! is the concluding mission in Grand Theft Auto 2, set in Area 1: Downtown. The protagonist, Claude Speed, undertakes this mission independently after manipulating every gang in the Downtown District. The mission begins automatically after completing all phone missions.
Strategic Manipulation
Claude must first complete all tasks for the three gangs in the Downtown District. By weakening each gang to gain respect from their rivals, the gang bosses—the Yakuza’s Johnny Zoo, Zaibatsu’s Trey Welsh, and Loonies’ Elmo—realize they’ve been deceived. Consequently, Claude becomes the target of these gang leaders.
Intense Confrontation
Each gang boss arrives with their unique weapons and vehicles:
- Johnny Zoo comes in a Miara and is armed with an S-Uzi Machine Gun.
- Trey Welsh arrives in a Z-Type and wields an S-Uzi Machine Gun.
- Elmo shows up in a black Dementia and carries a Flamethrower.
These bosses will attack Claude and each other. To complete the mission, all three gang bosses must be eliminated.
Final Steps
Once the gang bosses are dead, the city will descend into chaos. Claude is then instructed to return to Jesus Saves before moving on to the next area.
Deaths and Rewards
- Johnny Zoo – Murdered by Claude in self-defense or by the other gang leaders.
- Trey Welsh – Murdered by Claude in self-defense or by the other gang leaders.
- Elmo – Murdered by Claude in self-defense or by the other gang leaders.
The reward for completing the mission is a +1 Score Multiplier. Additionally, players will be warned that they can return to the Jesus Saves church to unlock Area 2: Residential if they have achieved the target score of $1,000,000.
