The Final Job! is the concluding mission in Grand Theft Auto 2, set in Area 2: Residential. The protagonist, Claude Speed, takes on this mission independently after manipulating every gang in the Residential District. This mission begins automatically after completing all phone missions.
Strategic Manipulation
Claude must first complete all tasks for the three gangs in the Residential District. As he weakens each gang to gain respect from their respective rivals, the gang bosses—the Rednecks’ Billy Bob Bean, SRS Scientists’ Dr. LaBrat, and Zaibatsu’s Red Valdez—realize they’ve been deceived. Consequently, Claude becomes the target of these gang leaders.
Intense Confrontation
Each gang boss arrives with their unique weapons and vehicles:
- Billy Bob Bean comes in a Pickup and is armed with Molotov Cocktails.
- Dr. LaBrat arrives in a black Meteor and wields a Flamethrower.
- Red Valdez shows up in a Z-Type and carries a Rocket Launcher.
These bosses will attack Claude and each other. To complete the mission, all three gang bosses must be eliminated.
Final Steps
Once the gang bosses are dead, the city will descend into chaos. Claude is then instructed to return to Jesus Saves before moving on to the next area.
Deaths and Rewards
- Billy Bob Bean – Murdered by Claude in self-defense or by the other gang leaders.
- Dr. LaBrat – Murdered by Claude in self-defense or by the other gang leaders.
- Red Valdez – Murdered by Claude in self-defense or by the other gang leaders.
The reward for completing the mission is a +1 Score Multiplier. Additionally, players will be warned that they can return to the Jesus Saves church to unlock Area 3: Industrial if they have achieved the target score of $3,000,000.
