The GTA Online Smuggler’s Run Hangars are large aircraft storage properties that cost between $1,200,000 and $5,670,000. You buy one from Maze Bank Foreclosures, choose from five locations, and gain space for aircraft plus access to the Air-Freight business. They arrived with the Smuggler’s Run update, and another hangar, McKenzie Field, was added later for $1,475,000.
Key facts
- Price range: $1,200,000 to $5,670,000
- Where to buy: the Maze Bank Foreclosures website, with five hangars to choose from
- Storage: up to 20 of your personal aircraft
- Office: a computer to manage the Air-Freight business as a VIP, CEO or MC President
- Update: Smuggler’s Run, which also brought the aircraft listed in Smuggler’s Run – All Custom Aircraft
Hangar customization
As with Bunkers, Biker Clubhouses and CEO Offices, a hangar can be tailored. Options include:
- A hangar style and lighting
- Floor graphics
- Office furniture
- Living quarters
- An aircraft workshop and mechanic
The workshop is where you add upgrades to your planes. For example, the Buckingham Pyro gets homing missiles and liveries there.
Air-Freight business
The hangar office lets you run the Air-Freight business through the Free Trade Shipping Co. app. You first complete a setup mission, then steal cargo and sell it for a profit. You can also use the hangar and workshop purely for storing and modifying aircraft, without ever smuggling. The first time you enter, a cutscene introduces Ron Jakowski, who presents the mechanic Charlie Reed and walks you through the office, living quarters, supply storage and workshop.
After the San Andreas Mercenaries update, Rooster McCraw joins the business. For a $25,000 fee he can be sent to source 1 or 2 cargo crates. The room next to Charlie’s workshop also fills with trinkets from LSA Operations and Project Overthrow missions.
McKenzie Field Hangar
The McKenzie Field Hangar in Grapeseed, Blaine County, is a separate purchase at $1,475,000. It was added on March 4, 2025 as part of the continuation of Agents of Sabotage, during Oscar Guzman Flies Again Week. You can pay at the Maze Bank Foreclosures sign at the hangar or buy it on the website.
- It gives 15 extra slots in your personal Hangar.
- The laptop in the office starts Oscar Guzman Flies Again or Arms Trafficking missions.
- The Oscar Guzman Flies Again missions are Up and Running, Setup: Mogul, Setup: Intel, Setup: Iron Mule, Setup: Ammunition and The Titan Job. See Invetero Coquette D5, Duster 300-H, DH-7 Iron Mule and Titan 250 D for the vehicles.
- Before you buy, a Mammatus, a Velum and sometimes a Buzzard are parked there, a Cargobob spawns after Rank 20, and a Frogger sits at the east end of the runway.
- A Playing Card is on the desk inside. See All 54 Playing Cards Locations for the full set.
