The GTA Online Special Vehicle Races are ten Rockstar-created Special Vehicle Stunt Races for the Deluxo, Stromberg and Thruster. They were added during the Special Vehicle Stunt Race Week, which ran from May 1, 2018 to May 7, 2018, and the week also doubled GTA$ and RP in Special Vehicle Work missions.

Bonuses and discounts that week
Double GTA$ and RP applied to every Rockstar-created Special Vehicle Stunt Race and to Special Vehicle Work missions, such as the Ramp Buggy mission from the Import/Export update. Premium Races gave triple RP. Six vehicles were 25% off: Mammoth Thruster, Imponte Deluxo, Ocelot Stromberg, Imponte Ruiner 2000, Coil Rocket Voltic and Nagasaki Blazer Aqua.
How races work in GTA Online
Races can be played alone or with up to 15 other players, or 30 on the enhanced version for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You earn cash, JP and RP even if you do not win. There are six racing modes: Land, Bike, Water, Air, Stunt (after Cunning Stunts) and Target Assault (after Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series).
- Lap races give RP for each best lap, for clean laps without collisions and for leading a full lap.
- Point-to-Point races run from a start to a finish in a different place.
- GTA races add weapons, power-ups and the option to steal another vehicle.
- Rally pairs a driver with a navigator who calls out the checkpoints.
The host sets laps from 1 to 99, class, time of day, weather, traffic, wanted levels, custom vehicles, Catchup, Slipstream and more. Non-Contact races, added in The High Life Update, turn other players into semi-transparent ghosts.
