Scramjet Week and how to buy it
Scramjet Week lasted from August 21st until August 27th, 2018. Besides the new car, it unlocked The Black Madonna’s set on LSUR, gave double Nightclub popularity and added the Hunting Pack (Remix) mode, which paid double GTA$ and RP. Selected vehicles were 30% off, including the Dewbauchee Vagner, Truffade Nero, Progen GP1, Vapid Flash GT, Vapid Caracara and Nagasaki Havok, while the Avenger and Akula were 40% off. The Premium Race was Nightlife (locked to Motorcycle) and the Time Trial was Down Chiliad.
Declasse Scramjet abilities and weapons
The Scramjet is armed with machine guns and missile launchers on its front intakes. It has a power hop that jumps eight meters high, which helps it clear concrete barriers and roadblocks, with a five second cooldown. It also has a rocket booster, and its rear exhaust tips double as the rocket outlets.
Its weakness is protection. A single direct hit from a Homing Missile can destroy the Scramjet, and the open top leaves the occupants exposed to sustained gunfire, so it is a poor pick for heavy shootouts.
Scramjet design and handling
The Scramjet takes cues from the Mach Five of the anime series Speed Racer and from 1950s and 1960s concept cars. It has a trident-style nose, circular headlights, sharp fins behind the cabin and Declasse branding on the steering wheel. The aerodynamic shape gives good acceleration and top speed with decent handling and braking, but the low suspension struggles with small barriers.
