The GTA Online Assault on Cayo Perico Adversary Mode sends one team to hack a computer inside El Rubio’s compound while the other team defends the island until the timer ends. It arrived with the San Andreas Mercenaries update on August 10, 2023, during Assault on Cayo Perico Week, and it is a prequel to Assault on ATT-16. Winning a round earns a trade price on the Mammoth Squaddie.

How Assault on Cayo Perico works
Attackers start at the airfield and fight through the docks toward the compound. Cocaine is a secondary objective they can steal along the way. Defenders try to hold them back until time is up. This is how a full attack runs:
- Go to a radar, hack Radar A or Radar B and stop the Defenders from disarming it. This is repeated for three sets of radars.
- Assault the compound.
- Go down to the basement and hack the basement computer.
- Defend the computer until the upload completes.
Defenders have the opposite job: defend the radars, disarm them when Attackers hack them, defend the compound, and use the basement computer to stop the upload. Respawn options mostly put you in a specific vehicle, and extra vehicles and weapon pickups are scattered around the base and the warship.
Assault on Cayo Perico loadouts
Each player picks a class before the round. You can change it at loadout crates around the map, which also refill ammo.

All classes can find an RPG and a Pump Shotgun Mk II on the island. A secret fourth loadout with the Marksman Pistol, Musket, Molotovs and Antique Cavalry Dagger can be picked up at three locations during the assault. In the lobby, the host chooses time of day, weather, possible camera lock and whether team balancing is on.
Assault on Cayo Perico Week bonuses
