The event returned in the San Andreas Mercenaries update during Armored Trucks Week, after it had been removed from the enhanced edition in the Freemode Events Update.

How to rob an Armored Truck
- Get within 400 meters of one of the locations above until the Security Van dot appears.
- Plant or throw Sticky Bombs at the rear doors and detonate them.
- Deal with the Gruppe Sechs officers, who may leave the van to fight you. You may also get a wanted level.
- Pick up the security case that drops on the ground to receive $25,000 and RP.
Weaponized vehicle guided missiles can destroy the truck, though it may take several hits, and nearby NPC vehicles that explode can also wreck it. A destroyed truck does not drop its case, so keep the blast on the doors.
The original Armored Truck event
In the older version, Lester called at rank 19 to point you at Armored Trucks, which alternated with Kill Targets, Crate Drops and Simeon’s High Priority Vehicles. Any attack on the truck, even one bullet, gave an immediate 3 star wanted level while the driver tried to flee. The doors could be opened with a Sticky Bomb, a shotgun while the truck was stationary, or a Heavy Sniper, and between 2 and 6 cash bags fell out.
