Oppressor Mk II Gameplay: GTA Online Hover Bike Guide

This GTA Online Oppressor Mk II gameplay guide covers how the Pegassi hover bike actually handles, in hover mode and in flight. It arrived in the After Hours update on August 14th, 2018, during The Black Madonna Residency Week. For the price and buying details, see the separate Pegassi Oppressor MKII page.

Oppressor Mk II hover mode

While hovering, the bike rides like a normal motorcycle with a maximum speed of 208.7 kph (129.7 mph). It can turn on the spot and cross almost any terrain, and it stays safe over water even in stormy weather. Over water it only hovers while the engine is running, and if you tilt the nose down it sinks and is destroyed.

Be careful with steep slopes, walls, traffic lights and trees. The bike tends to tilt backwards when it tries to climb an obstacle, which can throw you off.

Oppressor Mk II flight mode

Pull up on the stick to unfold the wings once you are about one meter (three feet) off the ground. In flight the top speed drops to 175 kph (108.7 mph), but the bike reaches places most aircraft struggle with, similar to the Thruster. Pitch is limited to 20 degrees.

Press the handbrake and the wings retract, dropping you quickly to the ground or sea level. If you stop in mid-air the bike slowly descends. You can only leave the bike in the air while it is moving, and the character dives off. Exiting at a standstill starts a slow descent that cannot be cancelled.

How it differs from the original Oppressor

The original Oppressor came with the Gunrunning update and costs $2,750,000 at Warstock Cache & Carry. It glides on extendable wings and has a rocket booster that lasts one second and recharges in about three seconds. The Mk II replaces gliding with permanent hovering, adds vectoring nozzles that tilt with your direction, and keeps the same rear rocket booster. The result is GTA Online Oppressor Mk II gameplay that feels closer to the Deluxo than to a regular motorbike.
