Studio Time is a VIP Contract mission in The Contract update for GTA Online. After you plug the three leaks, you return Dr. Dre’s Champion to Record A Studios, only to find Johnny Guns’ hired gunmen attacking the place. You clear them out and check on Dre. It pays 15 JP, plus cash and RP that vary with time.

Studio Time walkthrough
On the first playthrough, you return to the Operations level of the Agency and meet Franklin, Imani and Dr. Dre. Imani has found the man behind the leaks: Jonathan Henderson, also known as Johnny Guns, a producer at WesLos Records who has held a grudge against Dre since a royalties dispute in the 1990s. Later, Franklin asks you to return Dre’s Champion to Record A Studios. Start Studio Time from the corona outside Franklin’s office in the Agency.
On the way, Franklin calls in a panic: Johnny has sent men to attack the studio. When you arrive, the gunmen have overrun the building and are holding people inside.
Studio Time step by step
- Deliver Dr. Dre’s car to Record A Studios.
- After Franklin’s call, go to Record A Studios.
- Take out the hired gunmen outside, over several waves.
- Enter the studio and take out the gunmen inside.
- Go to the Control Room, where Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine are held.
Record A Studios and the ending
Dre refuses to evacuate and invites everyone to stay, as a show of defiance. The mission ends with a live recording by Dre and Anderson .Paak. You receive a gold record of “ETA (feat. Anderson .Paak, Snoop Dogg, and Busta Rhymes)” in your office.
The studio is on Mad Wayne Thunder Drive in Rockford Hills and is owned by Dr. Dre. It has a merchandise store with clothing, a QUB3D arcade game and a roof with a working hot tub. After you finish the Dr. Dre contract, the Lounge opens to a Smoking Room.
