Ruiner 2000 abilities and weapons
The Ruiner 2000 is a modern take on the Ruiner with a pronounced nose, pop-up headlights and a small screen with animated red dots at the front when the engine runs. The machine guns and homing missiles sit in the lower vents of the front bumper and pop up when you drive it. It also carries two special abilities:
- Parachute: a roof hatch deploys a parachute that slows a fall, helps you land the right way up and can be used again almost immediately.
- Power hop: the car jumps about four or five meters and recharges for a few seconds. It clears traffic and barriers, but at high speed it can leave the car hard to control.
Performance improves over the standard Ruiner, with more acceleration and top speed. It uses the same single-cam V8 with a 5-speed gearbox in a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout.
