GTA Online Peyote Plants are a seasonal collectible: 76 plants that turn you into a random animal when eaten. They were added on October 31, 2019, during the Halloween Surprise 2019 event, as a continuation of The Diamond Casino and Resort update, and each one pays 5,000 RP when you end the hallucination.

How Peyote Plants work
These plants work almost the same as in GTA V, but they spawn in different places. Eat one, hallucinate and pass out, then wake up as a random animal. A controller vibrates when you are near a plant. Where the plant sits decides the animal: land plants give land animals and birds, ocean plants give sea creatures.
You can end the hallucination whenever you like, after which you spawn at the nearest hospital and get 5,000 RP. It also ends if you die or enter water. In passive mode you cannot hurt anyone or be hurt, and the police ignore an animal player.

When the Peyote Plants are available
The plants are not always in the game. Past windows include October 31, 2019 to November 14, 2019, April 6, 2020, and Halloween 2020 from October 22, 2020. Later windows include February 18, 2021 (Verus Week), Halloween 2021 from October 28, 2021, Halloween 2022 from October 27, 2022, April 6, 2023, November 16, 2023, January 4, 2024, May 9, 2024, April 3, 2025 and Halloween 2025 from October 23, 2025.
