GTA Online Seed Capital is the first Short Trip mission in The Contract update, and it lets two players take the roles of Franklin Clinton and Lamar Davis. After a tour of Dr. Dre’s studio, the pair head to LD Organics, where the Vagos are raiding the warehouse and drive off with Lamar’s delivery truck. The Short Trip missions pay $50,000 on Normal and $62,500 on Hard.

Seed Capital walkthrough
- Take the tour of Record A Studios with DJ Pooh. When the scene ends, Franklin and Lamar leave with Chop to restock Lamar’s supply at LD Organics.
- Fight off the Vagos raiding the warehouse. Franklin has a Pistol and Lamar a Combat Pistol, and Micro SMGs dropped by the gang can be picked up.
- Clear the Vagos inside the warehouse, then go outside to find Lamar’s Mule being driven away. It obeys traffic lights, so you can catch it on foot.
- Climb into the back of the truck. When the driver notices you, he calls a hit squad, so fire back from the open doors with the weapons stashed there.
- When the truck stops in the alley behind Blarneys World of Awesome in Downtown Vinewood, leave it and chase the driver across the rooftops.
- Kill the driver and take the keys back. The truck then explodes from the damage it took on the way, which ends the mission.
Enemies in the chase include Buccaneer Customs, BF400s and a Speedo Custom with a remote .50 Cal machine gun, so expect fire from several directions. By the alley you are armed with Assault Rifles and submachine guns as well as your pistols.
Short Trips rules
You cannot use your own weapons or armor in a Short Trip, since each mission gives a fixed weapon and ammo loadout, but your snacks remain available in the Interaction Menu. Since the Valentine’s Day 2022 event week, all players can start the missions from the Pause Menu under Online, Play Job, Rockstar Created, Missions, or by Quick Job, and they do not need to be done in order. Although the menu shows a Rank requirement of 9999, that is only a display issue and players from Rank 1 can start them.
To switch to Hard, first finish the mission without failing, then change the difficulty from the Interaction Menu in the Smoking Room when replaying. Restarting the game resets it to Normal. More Lamar jobs are in the The Contract category.
