How to get the B-11 Strikeforce
Buy the B-11 Strikeforce from Warstock Cache & Carry and keep it in your own hangar. It arrived during Dixon Residency Week, which ran from August 7th until August 13th, 2018 (the DJ side of that week is in Dixon Mission). That week also gave 25% off the Nagasaki Buzzard Attack Chopper, Nagasaki Havok and Sea Sparrow helicopters, with the Premium Race Splits (locked to Compact) and the Time Trial at Power Station.
B-11 Strikeforce weapons
The B-11 Strikeforce has a Gatling-type autocannon under the nose that looks like the GAU-8 Avenger. Its wings carry two Hydra 70 barrage rocket pods on the inner pylons and six independent missiles on each of the other six pylons. It can also be modified with bombs.
B-11 Strikeforce handling and speed
The B-11 Strikeforce handles like other jets, with acceleration similar to the Hydra and a lower maximum airspeed. Below 250 meters (820 feet) it travels at only 200 kph (108 knots), while above that altitude it can reach 255.6 kph (137 knots). Even so, it is very maneuverable and turns tighter than the Pyro, which makes it a strong pick for close dogfights.
- Strong air brakes slow it quickly while it keeps its maneuverability.
- The pilot can hold the air brake for longer than normal, so the engines do not shut down as quickly.
- The engines take slightly longer to spin up when you first start the aircraft.
- On the ground it is more stable than most jets, although it can lean backward when you rev forward after reversing fast.
Design
The Strikeforce is based on the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II “Warthog”, with the tail of the Northrop YA-9. Unlike the real aircraft, it has an internal bomb bay. Its cockpit uses the same “Lazer” dial set as the P-996 LAZER, the Hydra and the Besra.
