The GTA 6 DualSense controller comes in two limited editions, Black and White, and both launch alongside the game on November 19, 2026. Sony revealed them at its September State of Play, and quantities are limited, with one edition sold almost only through PlayStation’s own store. Here is the price in each region, where to buy each version, and the other official GTA 6 merchandise arriving on launch day.
Key facts
- Two limited-edition DualSense controllers: Black and White, both with Grand Theft Auto VI branding.
- The price is $84.99, €84.99, £74.99 or ¥12,480.
- Pre-orders opened on September 10, and both controllers release on November 19, 2026.
- The White edition is sold worldwide by PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.
- The Black edition is exclusive to PlayStation Direct where it operates, and sold through select retailers elsewhere.
What the GTA 6 DualSense controller looks like
According to the PlayStation Blog, both controllers share the same design ideas: a shimmering, color-shifting finish, custom palm tree details molded into the controller, and official Grand Theft Auto VI branding.
The two versions are themed around different times of day in Vice City:
- White edition: Vice City at daybreak.
- Black edition: the energy of Vice City’s nightlife.
Functionally, they are standard DualSense controllers. That matters for GTA 6 because Sony has confirmed DualSense features for the game on PS5, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. We compared both consoles in our PS5 or Xbox guide.
GTA 6 DualSense controller price
| Region | Price |
|---|---|
| United States | $84.99 |
| Eurozone | €84.99 |
| United Kingdom | £74.99 |
| Japan | ¥12,480 (tax included) |
Sony notes that exact pricing and availability may vary by country. Both editions cost the same.
Where to buy each edition
This is where the two versions differ:
- White edition: limited quantities worldwide, through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.
- Black edition: limited quantities, exclusively through PlayStation Direct in the countries where it operates: the US, the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy and Austria. In other regions, it is sold through select retailers.
Pre-orders opened on September 10 at 10 AM local time in Europe and the UK, and at 7 AM Pacific in the US. Sony said eligible pre-orders placed directly with PlayStation include free launch-day delivery. If you missed the first wave, check PlayStation Direct and big retailers for restocks, and be careful with resale listings, which tend to climb fast before a big launch.
Is there a GTA 6 PS5 bundle?
PlayStation’s controller announcement does not mention any console bundle, console covers or matching accessories. Some retailers sell their own packages that combine a PS5 with the game, but those are retailer offers, not an official Sony bundle. No Xbox controller or Xbox bundle for GTA 6 has been announced either.
Remember that the boxed game is a download code, not a disc, so a console without a disc drive works just as well. Our physical edition guide explains how that works, and our region lock guide explains why PS5 codes must match your account’s country.
The other GTA 6 collectible: The Goodtime State box
The controllers are not the only launch-day merchandise. Rockstar’s own store sells The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a collector’s box that also ships on November 19:
- It costs $399.99 or €399.99.
- It contains 11 items, including a Macca the Gator figure with a stash compartment, Oakley Frogskins sunglasses, a New Era 9FORTY hat and a Leonida Keys crossbody bag.
- It also includes nine pins, nine stickers and a double-sided Leonida map poster.
- The game is sold separately, and the box is for buyers aged 18 and over.
If the map poster is what draws you in, our GTA 6 map update shows how much of Leonida fans have already pieced together.
Tips if you are buying one now
- Check the seller: the White edition comes from PlayStation Direct or participating retailers. In the countries PlayStation Direct serves, the Black edition is only sold there, so a Black edition from another seller in those countries is a resale.
- Compare with the official price: $84.99, €84.99 or £74.99. Anything far above that is a reseller markup.
- Check the delivery date: Sony said eligible pre-orders placed directly with PlayStation get free launch-day delivery.
- Keep the box: limited editions hold their value better with the original packaging.
Is the GTA 6 DualSense controller worth it?
If you already have a working DualSense, it is a collector’s item more than an upgrade: it plays exactly the same. It makes more sense if you need a second controller anyway, or if you want a piece of launch-day memorabilia that will be hard to find later. Because quantities are limited, decide early rather than in launch week.
