The GTA 6 phone apps are more than menus: they are how Jason and Lucia steal cars to order, call a ride, manage their money and follow Leonida’s social media. Rockstar has not published a full app list, but previews and interviews have named seven so far, and Edge added new details at the end of October. Here is what each app does, what changed from GTA V, and what is still unconfirmed, including the big question for cheat fans.
Key facts
- Previews name seven apps: BuckMe, RydeMe, Scooter Bros, WhatUp, Waink, Snapmatic and a fitness app.
- Waink lists cars that fences want, with their security features and trackers, according to Edge.
- Scooter Bros delivers a vehicle to you within seconds for a small fee.
- Snapmatic is browse-only: Jason and Lucia cannot post because they are on the run.
- Rockstar has not said whether cheat codes can be entered from the phone.

Spellings vary between outlets, such as Waink, WAINK or WAiNK, and RydeMe or RideMe. We use the most common forms until Rockstar’s own spelling appears in the game.
Waink: stealing cars to order with the GTA 6 phone apps
Waink may be the most important of the GTA 6 phone apps for making money. According to Edge, it lists the vehicles that fences want, with each car’s model, security features and tracking capabilities. Expensive cars have stronger security and may broadcast their location to the police, but fences have signal-blocking equipment, so a tracked car can be delivered safely. What you are paid depends partly on the car’s condition when you arrive.
September previews described it slightly differently, as a scanner that shows a car’s security level, the tool needed to steal it and its resale value. Both descriptions point to the same idea: plan the theft before you take the car.
Scooter Bros and RydeMe: getting around
Scooter Bros may be the most practical of the GTA 6 phone apps, because it solves an old GTA problem. For a small fee, a driver brings your car to you within seconds, then leaves on the scooter they arrived on, according to Edge. Since your full arsenal is stored in your car’s trunk, it also brings your weapons with it.
RydeMe is Leonida’s ride-share service. Rob Nelson told IGN that it doubles as fast travel, and that you can also ride the whole journey and talk with the driver. The passenger can use the phone while someone else drives, which is also how Jason and Lucia handle their phones on road trips together, according to Edge.
Snapmatic and social media
Snapmatic returns from GTA V with a twist. Nelson told IGN that Jason and Lucia can browse and follow accounts but cannot post, because a couple on the run would not share their lives online. Rockstar has also shown working social feeds featuring characters such as the rap duo Real Dimez, and previews reported that some posts point to events happening in the world that you can go and see.
Our earlier article on GTA 6 social media covers the in-game feeds in more detail.
BuckMe and the fitness app
Of all the GTA 6 phone apps, BuckMe may be the least flashy, but it matters. It manages the money in your bank account, which matters because GTA 6 separates banked money from the cash you carry. Previews reported that carried cash is lost when you die unless you deposit it first, so the app is part of staying safe.
The fitness app tracks sleep and tiredness. Previews said being well rested affects how certain attributes regenerate, which fits the game’s slower, more grounded pace.
Can you use cheat codes on the phone in GTA 6?
Not confirmed. In GTA V, you could dial phone numbers to activate cheats, alongside controller button combinations. Rockstar has said nothing about cheats in GTA 6, and none of the previews mentioned them. We are tracking it on our GTA 6 cheat codes page, which we will update on launch day.
What is still unconfirmed about the GTA 6 phone
- The full list of apps, and what WhatUp does.
- Whether apps like LifeInvader or Bleeter return.
- Whether banking works entirely from the phone or also needs ATMs.
- Whether a short-video app glimpsed in footage has a name and a role.
- Whether cheats can be dialed on the phone.
